We are a family of five in Wash Park with two working parents. Our current beloved nanny is moving out of state in January. We are looking for a full-time, live-out nanny to become part of our family. This is a long-term position with the ability to grow with our family’s needs over time. The start date would be during the week of January 14, and would include a period of shadowing our current nanny.
We have two girls, an almost 6 year-old in full-day Kindergarten and an almost 4 year old in preschool 3 days per week. We recently welcomed a baby boy in October.
We are looking for 50 hours per week Monday-Friday. During working hours, the nanny will be responsible for all aspects of caring for the children. Main responsibilities include:
-Preparing and giving meals to the children
-Getting the two girls ready for school in the morning
-School drop-off and pick-up
-Transportation to and from activities and play-dates
-Clean-up and organizing of child-related spaces in the home
-Working with parents to ensure children are happy and healthy
We are looking for a nanny with the following skills and attributes:
-Experience caring for babies, preschoolers and school-aged children (either as a nanny, daycare provider or teacher)
-Extremely dependable, prompt, responsible and professional
-Loving towards the children, but must provide structure, rules and discipline
-Able to meet the children’s changing emotional needs
-Highly organized and able to multi-task
-Able to set and keep a routine for the children
-Able to engage the children in play and learning activities
-Strong communication skills
-Comfortable preparing healthy and balanced meals for the children
-Able to assist with school projects, homework and independent learning activities
-Positive attitude
-Has own transportation for the children; clean driving record a must
-MUST be a non-smoker, honest and trustworthy
